This is a cross stitch design from a magazine, and although it is quite intensive in the number of stitches, it was quite easy to do. It was done completely in whole cross stich and I really enjoyed the colours in the design.
The frame was a wooden frame that I recycled. I painted it yellow to compliment the design of the picture. So that the stiching didn't appear flat, I placed a layer of wadding behind the stithing. It just gives a much softer appearance.

The colours are perfect for the sea bed. It must have taken ages to finish.
What a lovely piece.
It turned out wonderful...yep, that sure does look like a lot of stitches. Well done ~ :)

Thank you for the encouraging words on my starfish motif sweater. Your stitchery is beautiful and inspiring for a charity blanket I committed to design and knit by end of the month. You're so very much appreciated.
