Quilted Cushion

The front panel for this cushion cover was bought from a stitching exhibition I attended some years ago with my mother. We bought two, one was completed soon after purchasing, but has worn out due to amount of use it has had.

I pinned a layer of batting and a backing fabric to the front panel and tacked it all into place. It was then hand quilted using a small running stitch. Once this was completed, I chose black for the reverse side of the cushion cover.

I machine stiched the front and back together using an envelope style opening. After zig zagging around the seam, I trimmed the excess frabric and turned the right way out.

I now have a lovely replacement for my worn out cushion.
