Firefly-Cowl Top

This is the progress so far. Didn't get as far as I would have liked, but you can't ignore the housework forever. At least now, once the boys go, I am free to knit and sew to my hearts content!

On my to-do list was a jumper for a friends daughter. I have managed to find a pattern or two and I have the yarn in my stash. All I need to do now is work out how many inches round the chest a 4 year old is. It's been a long time since my two were that small.

I have also added another item to the to-do list. I have a firescreen that needs the joints repairing. It got damaged when we moved and the frame needs waxing too. Some alterations are also necessary for the needlepoint in the frame. I have wanted to do this for some time so that is going to be a priority. Be interesting to see if the boys will notice the difference when they return.

I had two skeins of alpaca wool that needed to be wound into balls. Succeeded in getting D to help me wind one tonight, he has volunteered J to do the other one. That will have to wait until tomorrow.

It is turning out lovely and it sounds like you won't be a bit bored with the boys gone!

The top is looking real pretty already - can't wait to see it finished. :0)
I miss mine when they go away BUT I do manage to get an awful lot more done. :0)
