Creative Tuesdays-Snack

When the new theme for Creative Tuesday was revealed, I didn't think I would be able to participate.  Snack seemed such a difficult theme to translate to needlework and I couldn't think of anything.  However, having sleeping on it for a few days, I remembered all the food themed pincushions.
I decided on a cupcake, perfect for having with a cup of tea.  I followed a fantastic tutorial which had every step clearly described.
It was one of the first things DS2 spotted when he came home, and he was quite impressed.  It wasn't until he picked it up he realised it was a pincushion and then came the question, "Did you make this?"!

What a cute piece. The pin embellishments are so perfect. And what a special feeling of accomplishment after getting praise from your DS!

Jane, wonderful VERY VERY clever snack contribution and the fact you quilt this together somehow is even more astouding. I Adore it. It almost looks edible. Now, I am glad I came to visit your blog or would not have sen this! Please do tell me if you get a pice done as I want to be sure to add it to the montage. As it is, it will be there on Tuesday with a link back to your post. Thanks again. Your creative process astounds me. So novel indeed. :)
