Flower of the month-June

It's been quite enjoyable sitting and doing some hand stitching.  I have now done June's flower of the month block.
Stitches used in this one are: stem stitch, back stitch, and french knots, using three strands of DMC thread.

July is already a work in progress, so hopefully it should join the others in the completed pile very soon.

I remember similar stiched roses from my chilhood. I like the freshness of the colors.
Well done

Reminds me so much of my mother; she would sew/stitch everynight until her eyesight became too poor for her to continue.

Very pretty

So pretty. I love the colors.

Deepa, all of them are stitched on fine calico. I cut 12 pieces right at the start so I would end up having them all stitched on the same fabric. I will soon have to decide on fabric for making it up
