What Have I done!

After a totally unsuccessful and frustrating shopping trip last week, I've bought some sewing patterns.
There is another one to come for tops.

Not so unusual you may think, but you have to realise, I haven't sewn any garments since I was in school.  The blouse I made then wasn't exactly a resounding success, and the whole process was such torture, it was a process I never felt I'd like to repeat.

However, the patterns are labelled, "Easy", so I'm hoping I'll get something wearable at the end of the exercise.  I may be calling on a few hints and tips from a few blogging friends that make it look easy.

The first hurdle will be to buy the fabric.

They look easy enough! I don't sew clothes either! I only sew flat things! LOL

I know you can do it. I made all of Terry's jeans through her high school and collage years. I have made clothes for ever but not lately.

You will do beautifully, a stitch at a time. Good luck!

Good luck, I am not good in sewing with the machine as well. Not enough experience I think and a way to cheap machine that is not right for thicker fabric. But never mind, a lot of people are enjoying sewing!

What have you done? Why you've opened Pandora's box, of course!

Have fun!

I used to make a lot of clothes until patchwork and quilting took over. Last year I thought I would make myself a skirt. I bought some lovely cotton fabric but unfortunately the skirt didn't quite live up to my expectation - in fact it was a really poor fit and looked awful - so it ended up on my ironing board as a cover and I decided that dressmaking was not for me.

Welcome to the dark side! ;-)
It's so much fun making clothes. And with your skills, you'll be fine.
