Amy's BOM-Scrap Happy

I managed to keep the boys away from the computer long enough to do another block, and they didn't moan too much.

Looking at the blocks, I sometimes get the feeling they are beyond me, but following the directions, step by step, they seem to come together fairly well.  I like the look of this one.
Before the eagle eyed among you comment, I know there is one piece darker than the others in the central arrows.  I stitched all the end pieces on the right way, (a first) cut of the end and then realised on one piece, I had sewn it to the wrong side of the fabric.  Of course, after cutting, it cannot be turned the other way and the points be in the right direction.  As there was no more of the lighter fabric left,  I had to improvise.

As the final quilt will be for me, I can live with it as, it is a learning quilt and I am hoping it will get lost amongst all the other blocks.

Well not only did I get computer time, DS1 cooked dinner!  Don't think that will be happening again today.

Looks very pretty. Which BOM are you following?

This block looks fantastic and I think it is a good idea to think about it as a learning piece!

Good improvisation. Your stash doubles in size when you realise that a lot of fabric has two sided to it - not a right and wrong size but a darker and lighter side.

That came out great. I wouldn't have noticed the flaw if you hadn't brought it up!

Well now, I don't perceive a difference.

It's nice your son made dinner for you for a change. Here's hoping he takes a liking to waiting on you!

I can't see any difference in the colours either. It looks great! I enjoyed learning all the different block techniques but doubt if I'll ever have time to put them all together in a quilt...too many UFOs to finish, you know?

I've been told quilting the finished top hides a multitude of sins.

Love the colours!
