The other Saturday, DS1 was bored and wanted to go out. There were a couple of things we needed, so he went into town. While there, I asked him to get me some yarn I needed for the poncho's, the yellow yarn. He came back with "dark yellow", orange to me! I was going to take it back and exchange it, but in the end decided I would use it.
This is Little Havana taken from the May '09 issue of Let's Knit. It is a girls cropped cardigan and will be perfect for summer, if it ever comes.
Whilst waiting for the boys to get up the other morning, so I could get on with things, I made up another pencil case. This time it is has pencils both sides.
I have some more fabric remnants left, so I may get some more of these done in the coming week. I am hoping for a day with the sewing machine.

You are one speedy knitter - actually, I like the colour, but it's definitely orange!
Wow! That yarn is bright! But I can see some girl loving it! :0)
If you squint a little, it's "Schoolbus Yellow" (which I always thought was orange, but no, Schoolbusses Are Officially Yellow)!
That's a fun and summery sweater - and something to cheer one up on a day when the fog won't leave :)
That is a gorgeous little cardie...I love the colour...One of those serendipity moments, I think. The pencil roll is fabulous. I'd not thought of doing a double one.

The cardigan is adorable and I love the shade of yellow. It's very cheerful!
That is a lovely pattern and whilst the colour is definitely orange, it's perfect for a little girl to wear with denim. Gorgeous.
