Poppies are finished

The last two days have been pretty productive, so I am a happy bunny.

Yesterday, J and I got up in the loft and sorted some space in the loft so I could get 10 more boxes up there. There is also space for some more to go up, so it looks as if I can get the porch clear, but that is a job for another time.

I also managed to stitch quite a bit yesterday, so this afternoon I didn't have much more to do on the poppies.

I finished the cross stitch on the middle poppy and then back stitched the two bottom ones. Then came the fun part-french knots and beads. Once this was complete, I went back to the top poppy and finished the cross stitching. I put the last stitch in just as my friend started texting me. Great timing!

I know have to find myself a picture framer to cut me a mat so I can make the frame and get it up on the wall. I can't wait to see it.

That's the first time I've heard anyone refer to the French knots as the 'fun part'! The piece looks lovely so I'm glad you are enjoying the stitching.

This is so pretty. Where will you hang it?

Beautiful! Poppies are my favorite to paint, so we have them all over our house in frames.

Thanks Tanja, but this one has been hanging around for years, so many I can't remember when I started! Rudee, I am hoping to get it up on the wall in the front room. I have all my other pictures to unpack and hang, but I am sure there will be plenty of space to fill up

Oh, these red poppies are so gorgeous and make me happy just seeing them here in the dead gray of winter!Poppies are my favorite of all flowers, and I've NEVER been able to grow any from seed, OR to keep a bulb one alive!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful needlework...

Your poppies are gorgeous. I love flowers. Saw your Lakeland coming along nicely and the stitching for your neighbor is pretty. She will love it. You certainly accomplish a LOT.
