I have completed another block for the blanket today, it may have been two if I hadn't fallen asleep on the settee this afternoon!
This is a lovely cable pattern knitted using Classic Yarns RY Cashsoft DK, 57% extra fine marino, 33% acrylic microfibre, 10% cashmere. This is one of the balls of yarn that I found reduced the other week at John Lewis.
The knitting even survived being attacked by an over active kitten this morning. He was dragging the needle across the floor. Fortunately, none of the stitches came off.
The third block has been started, so hopefully that will also be completed tomorrow.

Lucky kitty. I love the pattern! I'm working my way toward an aran blanket. So far, I'm waiting for the pattern and considering the yarn. I hadn't thought of the Cashsoft, but it's a good idea. I like that the rowan has more wool than acrylic. The cashmere doesn't hurt either. It's hard to tell by the picture, but are you happy with the stitch definition?
Nice material for the blanket, it is looking good! I did not know you also intended to knit the blanket. Are you going to do all the 32 blocks?
Your knitting is stunning....and your kitten is a little bugga!
I love that pattern. That would make a warm sweater too.
