D's jumper complete

We woke up to snow this morning. There wasn't much, but it has stayed all day as it is so cold here. It didn't stop us going for a walk this morning.

When we got back, I was able to finish D's jumper. As I had managed to complete knitting the collar before going to bed last night, I just had to cast off and sew everything together. It always seems easier with raglan seams to get all the bits in the right order. I really felt like carrying on with knitting this afternoon, but I think I will stick to my list of things that need to get done this month. That means that the next project out of the bag will be the cross stitch poppies. The end is in sight for this piece as I only have the last third of the picture to do.

I am not sure how long I will be able to keep stitching this evening as a couple of the bulbs have blown, and I have to wait until I go into town to get new ones. I suppose I could try candlelight!

That really turned out well. I love the way the collar is attached.

I'd take a pass on the candlelight! Maybe build a snowman by starlight instead.

I love this sweater. I really like that collar. Well done. Give those eyes some rest, candlelight is romantic but not good for sewing/knitting or crafts...hugs, Linda

P.S. You keep a list to work off of? How do you determine what to put on the list and which one comes next? I have lists too but doesn't seem to be working right now...

Lovely jumper - I really like the collar.

I've read by candle-light many a time, but have never tried stitching!

The jumper looks great! Stitching by candle light sounds cool, I might have a go at that myself, though I do have to be careful with candles around the house as one of the cats managed to sit on one the other day, luckily no damage other than some singed fur!

It's a beautiful sweater. You can give new meaning to burning the candles at both ends.

i have the same problem--so many projects, and while i feel like doing something new, i know i should finish up the other 10 that i've already started. this is good motivation for me to finish a scarf i've been working on for over a month now...
