The starting point for page two, is an old embroidery transfer. This would have belonged to either my grandmother, or great grandmother originally, so it's nice to use it in a different way.
This part of the page isn't finished yet, but it triggered another thought, so while the idea was fresh, it was put down on paper.
I'm hoping this will be replicated in fabric, a combination of patchwork and applique.

I'm really enjoying following this project with you and seeing what each new step triggers for you. It's amazing!
How lovely to be able to use something with a personal history.
Great idea to use an old family item in a ne3w way.
That would be so pretty done as patchwork! Will you be working on it today? LOL
This looks like a great idea and a way to create a real family heirloom. I'll be watching!
What a great idea to make your design into a patchwork block. Will be waiting to see the block come to fruition. I plan to take this course when Karen offers it again in Sept.
Interesting artistic process. I'm looking forward to watching it bloom.
