Josie's Garden

This is probably only the second project from Mollie Makes that I really enjoyed doing, this is much more my type of thing.

I used DMC pearl cotton size 8 for the stitching and used a variety of stitches-running stitch for the border, back stitch outlines, long and short stitch, straight stitch, satin stitch, couching for some of the stems, french knots, whipped running stitch, and spider stitch.

Not exactly sure what I will be doing with this, but at the moment, I'm thinking of a wall hanging.

It turned out lovely and, yes, I could definitely see it as a wall hanging. Nice work!

That is so cute and cheery. Looks like a really fun design to stitch.

I am SOOOOO looking forward to receiving this magazine! This little garden picture is so sweet! If you don't make a wall hanging (you didn't say how big it is) why don't you use it to embellish a tote bag?

Oh my word...that's just lovely. Adding my unsolicited opinion...it would make a lovely tray cloth with some lace or crochet edging. Just for you with a lovely teacup and something yummy to fortify you on your next project.
