Karen introduced me to the new magazine, Mollie Makes, after over enthusiastically buying the first issue. I helped her out by taking one of the extra copies. Each copy comes with a cover kit, and I didn't want it to go to waste, so here's the first one made up.
There was a glitch with this one, the white felt had been left out of the the package, so I had to wait until my kind son bought me some home last week. Having all I needed, it was a pleasant hour, hand sewing every thing into place.
I used running stitch around all the pieces and blanket stitch for the outer edge. All I need now is an ipod to go inside!
This project reminded me how much fun it was to use felt, no fraying edges, and relaxing hand stitching to get a very pleasant end result. I'll have to see what other felt projects I can find to do.

It looks very cute.
What a cute project.
I saw a write up about that magazine on another blog a few days ago. It looks great - full of fun stuff to make. Knowing our shops here in Oz, I doubt if we'll see it on our shelves any time soon...
I love your two recent finishes - very cute! Yes, felt is terrific to work with isnt' it. I have only used it for embellishing so far, but one day I might get around to being a bit more creative with it.
Cough cough - where is your Churn Dash sample block? ;-)
So cute! I haven't worked with felt in a while but you know my Christmas decorations could use some sprucing up. Felt is probably just the ticket!
Oh how cute! I've heard good things about that magazine! :0)
Well this is so cute! The magazine is worth it just for this.
Both this and your softie are adorable. I love how you just whiz them up in no time. You amaze me.
