Hardanger Card

I didn't want the piece of hardanger that I did at class to languish doing nothing, so I've put it into a card.
I've used some lavender voile to place under the stitching to show through the cut outs.  It's also padded with wadding to give it a bit of depth.

Now I need to get the second piece finished, but I think there are a few other projects ahead of it in the queue

What a wonderful idea!

The voile sets it off so beautifully. It would also look lovely on the front of a small bag.

It is really pretty and looks great in a card.

The voile works perfectly. Really enhances the design. That's a great card.

It is lovely, Jane. I keep forgetting to use wadding in my stitched cards - it makes such a difference, doesn't it?
Funny you should mention those other projects in the queue...I was just about to ask how the dolls house miniatures are going. Or have I missed a post?

Love this hardanger card...it's lovely. Nice idea for the backing. You have really accomplished a lot lately. The miniature bed cover is beautiful. You are very creative with your leftovers as well. Can't wait to see what's next!

just what I was looking for. Did you glue the fabric to the card? What is meant by waddding? Cotton or foam?
