Parchment Card

Over the years, I have looked at parchment cards and have thought they look fun to do, but had never got around to it. On Saturday, I finally had a go when I went with D to a parchment card class at Craftastic, our local craft shop.

We had a go at the simple embossing of the flower in the centre. We also did some pricking and cut outs. The little crosses were created using a 4 prong pricking tool, and then the parchment in the centre of the square are cut out. This was very fiddly and quite time consuming, but thoroughly satisfying.

Once completed, the parchment was folded over a card and this is the result. Not bad for the first go. Now, do I go out and get some supplies to do more at home, mmmmmm.

Finally...something I am ahead of lol
Been there, done that, ner ner nernerner hehe.
I think I have some things that you can have. I used to do it int he 1909s when everything was really expensive...then I started again last year so I have some bits and peices which arent actually out of date. Some of the pricking scissors (still ruddy expensive but better they are used than left to rust in peace hehe) and I might have other bits and peices...I am off to a writing group now but I will have a sort out and e-mail you later. I def have some or the parchment etc

Laters!

I'm not familiar with this craft at all. But it certainly does make for a beautiful card!

I think we all know the answer to that question, especially when the results are so beautiful! :)

Beautiful!

I wouldn't mind a go at this but it is too time consuming a technique to use for my card making for work.
