Concorde takes to the air

I eventually got around to finishing Concorde and made it into a simple wall hanging for J. This cloud material seemed the perfect background.

I machine appliqued the cross stitch to the front which was the easiest way to cope with the odd shape. It will go well on the blue walls in his bedroom.
Once this was done, I did some more knitting on his jumper. This is a slow grower, unlike J. I think it has grown about an inch and I'm about halfway up the back. I'll get there eventually, but it comes as a real shock to the system when you realise that the jumper that you are knitting for your little boy, would fit you.

What a great idea for a finish!

And they do grow up in an eye-blink it seems.

I love J's Concorde. It's very well done.

It is amazing how fast our kids grow.

Oh, I know that shock well! That's how I felt when I realized that both of my girls now wear knitted socks at least as big as mine. Weird...

What a nifty idea for finishing. Yup - I blinked & suddenly he was taller than me & shaving! LOL :0)
