It's getting to be a challenge trying to think what to do with the rest of my green scraps. I'm running out of larger pieces of batting, but I did have enough to do this table topper.
I've used some green scraps of my own, as well as some that were kindly gifted to me. I cut them all into strips varying in width from 11/2" up to 21/2". I added them to the backing and batting using the quilt as you go method.
The backing was also out of my stash, and although, you can't really tell from the photo, is a pale green.
More dark green for the binding, and you have my green table runner. I've had it laid out on my sewing table since it was finished, and it looks quite fresh and springlike.
All the batting I have now are smaller pieces, which I would like to use up. The next green project will probably be a pot holder.

Well done! I'm using green for my next little project! Any bit of color we can get right now is good with the snow and cold we have here!
What a great idea to use up those longer scraps. Quilt as you go is a great technique. It is one of my favourites.

I was at The Patchwork Chicks in Barrowford yesterday and thought of you. They had fabulous micro quilts made from the teeniest pieces that would be perfect for using up the smaller scraps. Lovely as pot holders, cushion panels and the like.
