I still had a bit of the elephant fabric left which I didn't want to go to waste, but I also didn't want to have it lying around any longer. The next project was to make a baby ball.
I fussy cut the fabric so I could get elephants on each piece. The ball is stuffed with polyester toy filling, and has little jingly bells inside.
The only trouble is, Jonathan has taken a liking to this, so I'll have to make another one with "grown up" fabric especially for him. I also thought small ones with catnip inside would be popular with the feline part of my family.

I bough something similar at christmas for a gift and nearly lost it to my son, he is 23!!!! boys will be boys and all that!
What a cute idea! My kids had little blocks with bells in them when they were little! :0)
Oooooh...fun! Must...remember for when I'm a Gma!!
do you have the pattern to cut the pieces, i need to make lots of these for my lunatic gang (4 Labs) they love the fabric balls, especially if they squeak or jingle. I bought squeakers the other day to make some.
I love these...my doggies might like this as well as my grandbabies..very cute.
Amazing how one small project morphs into lots of other things and uses. Creativity at work.
Ya gotta love it
Lovely and what a good idea to make some with catnip. It sends my cat into a frenzy.
What a fun project! I bet those are popular with lots of different audiences :)
So cute. Thanks for visiting but 'Our (Cam) day will come'!!! lol.
This is lovely. I really like the idea of the bell inside to give it a nice jingle, I'm sure some smaller versions would be a great hit with the kitties :)
They are so cute, Jane! Great for babies, kittens and men who are still boys, lol!
