I did make a start on the mail art envelope too. That is, I got as far as cutting out the fabric. When I went to get the threads for it, I found I didn't have all that was needed. This left me in a bit of a quandary as to what to do next. I must have spent about 10 minutes walking in circles trying to decide.
I eventually decided to get out the honeysuckle cushion and work on that rather than start something new. I have managed to stitch the first berry and have gone as far to the right as the design goes before the border.

I do have a finish though. This is a shawl I knitted using the foxy yarn which I used to knit the jacket.

I am not used to all this glamour stuff, my nights out seem to be something in my dim and distant pass. That's children for you.
Also on the needles, is a little baby bolero in white. Hopefully this should be a quick finish and done by the end of the weekend. With another bank holiday in the offing, I might get a fair bit done over the weekend.

I've had those kinds of days.. walking around in circles unsure of what to do next.
But you sure did a nice job on that shawl. Lovely model too.
I know exacttly what you mean about glamourous nights out - i think the last time was our wedding night. The shawl looks lovely, so does the model. the honeysuckle is very pretty - i always thought honeysuckle was yellow, so that just shows how much i know about English flora
I just love to view your needle work. Also something so pretty to see!!
The foxy stole is lovely - looks so plush. I am still enjoying each instalment of the honeysuckle embroidery - it is beautiful.
The shawl is gorgeous!
And I can see how much work you put in cross stitching! It is so beautiful!
That's such a pretty shawl-and a very nice photo shoot too. You could be next top model.
What's a glam night out? Those are so far back I can't even remember! ROFL Gorgeous shawl though, well worth getting dressed up for. Love the honeysuckle too. Enjoy the BH weekend. :0)
Hehe..va va voom!
The model looks great and the shawl suits her...all we need now is a night out. Do you see a familar theme coming out here lol
The shawl looks great and so does the model. Very nice work....I hope you have fun! Hugs, Linda
Such a fun stole! Those days of glamour and nights out will come back, truly (at least, that's what I keep telling myself!). And the stitching looks beautiful :)
Lovely shawl. I do appreciate your stitcheries also.
That shawl is very smart, the wool gives such a glamourous look!
I am curious as which Jean Plaidy's you have. Today I borrowed from library, 'Indiscretions of the Queen', a Georgian book about Caroline of Brunswick.
