Raggedy & Friends QAL-Block Six

The sewing machine had been sat idle for over a month, so we had a simple project to ease it back into the swing of things.  The first project was to piece the next Raggedy block.
It's now complete, with just over a week to go before the next one is released.

The threads I'd ordered arrived from Sew and Sew.  I can't fault their service,  it was here sooner than I had expected.  Their quick service meant that the next heart, Heart of Flowers, could be completed.
There are now two more to be done, and while sitting watching TV last night, I started the next one.

Now I have a dilemma for today.  I need to finish my postage stamp quilt this month.  Originally I was going to tie it, but I have since thought the the cats will start chewing and pulling at the ties.  Now, I have to decide, do I take the chance and tie it, or do I machine quilt it?  Decisions, decisions.

The Heart of Flowers is really very lovely as all the hearts of this series!

Your block and the heart both look wonderful. I've never tied a quilt before so can't really offer an opinion on your dilemma, but I hope you mange to figure it out. I'll be working on my red quilt today :)

Thanks for the tie vs machine quilting "tip." I too have a quilt I was considering using the tie method. I too have a cat. I hadn't thought of the "temptation" issue. I do believe I will machine quilt. Happy quilting!

Looks like you are definitely back in the swing of things!

The heart block is a beauty. And I love watching this Raggedy quilt take shape.

That heart is so pretty! And well done on keeping up with the Raggedy blocks! You could always tie the quilt with the ties in the back side. That might keep the cats from undoing them.

What a lovely way to ease yourself back in to using the sewing machine. The Heart of Flowers is lovely, beautifully stitched. I tie quilts and Lestat leaves them alone. Th ties usually lie flat pretty quickly.

Nice sticheries!!
I've tied all my early quilts with 3 cats in residence. Never had any problem. I use doubled 8ply knitting cotton. It softens and sits like chenile.
