Surprise in the post

I hadn't been expecting this in the post, so it was a lovely surprise.  This is from Debi for the autumn exchange on Stitchin Fingers.  It was a lovely start to the day.

Thought I'd show you the pattern I'm using for D's jumper.  This is knitting up a lot quicker than J's did and the colour is certainly easier on the eyes.  It is quite nice to do be an aran pattern for a change.

As if I needed an excuse, today is the perfect day for staying in to sew.  We had a couple of inches of snow in the night, which isn't much, but it has all frozen.  I think that indoors in the warm is the perfect place to be.

That will become a lovely sweater for your son. I just started an Aran blanket and I love knitting it (sofar, maybe it will become boring before I have finished it).

I could use a sweater like that right now. It is wicked cold and super-windy here today!

The sweater is going to be gorgeous. I love knitting Aran, it's so therapeutic and looks great.

Stay in and keep warm.

A lovely card. I like the coloured flecks in the knitting. It is definitely not a day to be out in. I had to walk down to our local Co-op for a new kettle as mine blew up this morning and the pavements were treacherous, as were the side roads.

Lovely sweater. I bet you do like these colors better than the black...Loads easier for the eyes, anyway. Both are lovely but I have to work on black in the daytime hours...Stay warm.

Your postcard from Debi is lovely! I was pleased with mine too...I had given up on getting one from her, as it was so long in coming, but she'd obviously had a hard time over the past few months and is just catching up.
