2nd January BOM

This is the second of Amy's January blocks, and I did get it put together quicker than the first.  I might have even had time to do the third, but the boys were protesting as I kept kicking them off the computer so I could see what to do next.

I don't know if it's just me, or it's the same for everyone, but I seem to get to a stage and it looks as if it will all go horribly wrong.  Then the blocks come together, and I wonder what the panic was about.  It just seems there's a stage in the middle where it all looks untidy and that it won't come together.  I'm glad to say, perseverence pays off.

I frequently get to stages where it all looks horribly wrong..and generally that is the stage it remains at lol
Well done! Looks great!

Lovely block. I always put all of my pieces together on my design wall first - just to make sure that nothing is upside down.

I just amazed at how quickly you picked this up and how perfect the piecing is. You were born to do this!

I'm that way too...I get to the middle of something and think I just can't get it to come out right. But it normally does, and if not, there's always a way to make things work! Your block is lovely! :0)

You are so clever, I am trying my hand at quilting, I would like to think my blocks turned out as well as yours!

Beautiful..you did a great job. See, you can do this! Keep it up girl, you have this down...

I lay my blocks out and sew in stages. I sew it up and lay it back down. That way I don't get confused, especially if I've never done the block before.

Another lovely block. I've never tried making blocks... it was all those little hexagon thingies when I was a kid & I've never tried it since. :0)
