Splendid Isolation

Since Friday, we have had intermittent or non existent Internet access, which has been very frustrating.  It makes you feel very cut off, which I felt guilty about, as I can very well remember life without the Internet.  In fact, it was only after the boys had been born, that we had Internet at home.  DS2 would have been about 18 months old.  The upside to no Internet is that it gives you more time to get things done.

These are lavender bags. I've misplaced the pattern to link back to the website,  but they were fun to do.  DS2 thinks I should make "proper" little bags like this as  he thinks they would be perfect for lippy!

The other project I've been working on is a little larger.  These blocks were made from the remains of a layer cake.  There would have been a few more blocks, but I'd already used three of the pieces for something else, and it took about three pieces to perfect the cutting!

I want to add another border, but need to buy some fabric.

The lump at the end is Shylock.  He thought I'd put this down especially to give him a blanket.  He was most disappointed when it was folded up and put away.

Once I can get myself organised and get myself going for the day, I am going to work on using up the scraps.

Wow..look at you quilting queen! I know what you mean about being housebound: I have not been able to leave the house for over a week because of the weather and then the fox...without the internet I would be stuffed! xx

Hello jane, Isn't amazing how we react to no internet. I only started using it for email about 13 years ago and blogging 4 years ago. It does not seem that long ago. Actaully at times I do not mind being without it because you are right we get more thing done. Hugs Judy
