Last weekend I went to a craft fair and a lady wanted one of the waistcoats for her daughter, but I didn't have one in the right size, so she put in an order. These waistcoats are fairly quick to knit up, so I didn't mind and I was able to get more of the same yarn, which is what she wanted.
I started knitting, and once the first square was done, I didn't think it looked big enough, so did the next size up. Once that waistcoat was done, I thought it looked huge, so went back and completed the one the next size down. That had meant, I have done two waistcoats this week, not that I mind, it may mean I get to keep one for myself.
The sun was shining yesterday, so I took them outside to photograph. Even in the sun, I can't get a true colour. It is darker than the camera shows.
Now these are done, I can go back and get on with some of the other things that have been waiting for me so patiently. Trouble is, what do I do next, so many choices, so little time.

So that's why they didn't have any of this colourway in Atkinson's this week when I went it - you've used it all! LOL
Great work!
(Was the craft fair the Craft Candy one at the Millenium Galleries - I didn't see any knitting there)
Love those colors. Every time I try to crochet something that is composed of a set of squares, I always have to make at least twice as many as called for to get a set that is more less the same size. I think my mood really affects my tension. Turned out great for this time so you get to keep a vest!
Very pretty! I sometimes have to adjust the color of my photos in my paint program to get them to look right. Silly camera ought to just show the colors right and be done with it! LOL
No wonder you have been quiet, making two of these beauties on top of all the other things that you do.
It turned out beautifully! And how I recognize that final refrain -- so many projects to choose from, so little time :)
Smoking Needles indeed! You better hose those suckers off!!!Wow, I love it when you say these don't take any time at all. Yeah, right! You are so quick with the needles, it amazes me. I'd still be working on the first one. I love your knitting, it is truly beautiful.
I hope you're sleeping and feeling better too. Hugs, Linda
My, you have been busy! I hope you sell a few of these!
Love the colors of this coat! I think you did a great job! :)
I do love these waistcoats. Well done on getting the order. :0)
