We Have a front

Finally, after weeks of stitching, I have a front.  The weather at the moment is awful, so it's difficult to get any decent pictures, it's so dark.  I'm sure you'll get an idea, and hopefully, once it's backed, we'll have enough light to get some decent photos.
This is the cloth as a whole, three pieces were added yesterday
This section is a series of pockets, the words all refer to things that have either brought me great satisfaction, or great pleasure. The little "puff" was added also, stitched using french knot flowers and trailing knots.

The space between the pocket and hexagons will be filled with a line of Chinese knots, which still need to be made

Piece to the left includes a signature and date
And a final look at Saturday's stitching

Just Keep Stitching, Just Keep Stitching

It seems, that no matter how quickly, or how long I stitch, I'm not getting any closer to the end.  It was a bit of a surprise to look and see what had changed since my last post.  Maybe progress has been made after all.
The piece that you saw damp stretching on the previous post has been added
Hexagons have had names stitched on, then appliqued to the background.  Some web stitches were added.  The piece was joined with a row of rouleau loops, so I'm just over half way across the bottom.

The last two days have been spent stitching words to what will be a pocket front,  they will be damp stretched today ready for adding tomorrow.  If I have my measurement right, I will have two more pieces to stitch, one small square, and then the final corner.  Guess what I'll be doing for the next two days

One More Week To Go

I have been stitching like crazy over the last few days, I really want to get this cloth finished this week, but I need to get busy and get enough pieces stitched and joined to get the cloth to the finished size.
I did get the top left corner filled, so now to concentrate on the bottom of the cloth.  I need to get pieces to go right across the bottom.
Before that, I did want to have a try at the next lesson, which was to make these "funky puffs", or fabric beads.   These took up most of my stitching time at the weekend.  The circles were drawn out, the stitching added, and then they were damp stretched.
The circles were then cut out, and all these puffs were made.  I love seeing the different effects that can be achieved and shall look forward to adding them to the finished cloth.
Another section was finished, and hopefully, this will go onto the main cloth today.  This piece will finish the bottom left of the cloth, and the next section is already in progress.  I don't think it will be ready for finishing when the instructions come out tomorrow, but all being well, it will be by the end of the week.

Thursday Stitching

Due to the unseasonal heatwave, it was too hot to do all I wanted to do in the kitchen, so after lunch, I was able to do some stitching and get the next complete piece attached to the main cloth
I added some prairie points to fit into the hexagons, and there is space to add knots later
 Piece as a whole
Close up of the latest addition.

I have one more piece in progress, but will need to measure and embellish some pieces to get this to the final size.  As I'm out all day, this will be a task for the weekend.
