Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2012

It was fun joining in with the rainbow scrap challenge last year, so I thought I'd do it again this year with a slightly different game plan.  This year, I thought I'd do blocks of the different colours through the year, to get a rainbow quilt at the end.

The first colour this year is red, so I have six of these blocks
 A string block
 and three crumb blocks.
I do have some red leftover, so have a couple of small projects to do, but they can wait for another day

That is going to be a very beautiful quilt. I love the colours. The quilt will look so warm and inviting and be a bright happy splash of colour in a room.

these are so pretty and the colour really lifted me today...it's so dark and miserable here.

Great red blocks. Looks like you managed to use up LOTS of scraps on all of those.

A gret plan and I know you will follow through with it. I'm not so good at reaching the finish line.
Looking forward to a year of lovely blocks.

I like all of those red blocks. I think I might do a rainbow quilt too. I just found a block I like and I think it will be cute in all colors so I'll be pulling out my reds and working on these this weekend. I like your strip block and the leftovers too. Cute idea.

Phew! You sure believe in challenging yourself! These blocks are stunning. Still not sure how this Rainbow scrap one works...did you make all those blocks in the past week or so, with fabric you already had? If so, does that mean you make 12 blocks every month in a different colour, thereby making a new quilt every month? Along with the Skill Builder blocks (which you have to catch up with, as you said in your comment on my blog!), your knitting, and cross stitch...PHEW very loudly!!
Happy New Year!
