A good post day

It's always exciting when there are packages in the post, but yesterday, there was one from Germany.  This meant I was receiving my package from Susanne for the Stitch Specialists Yahoo group exchange.  It was for scissors and pocket.
I opened the envelope to find a plastic folder filled with these goodies.  This is the front of the scissor pocket and fob.

The reverse side with a lovely button.

And these are the wonderful scissors.  You can't really see it in the photo, but the fabric has been overdyed and is beautiful.  I need to find some lovely project to stitch on it.

Susanne, thank you so much.  I love it all.  I've never seen fabric like this before, and I shall enjoy using the wonderful thread.  The plastic pouch is perfect for storing WIP's and I'll look forward to using my scissors and their pocket.

Stitching Companions

Knowing I had a swap, I had to get everything done, so they could be posted without worrying about missing the completion date.
The three pieces I stitched became a needle case, a scissor pocket and fob.

All that's needed now, is a button for closing, and the scissors to go inside.

Rhodes Stitch Butterfly

I signed up for a swap on the TSS Yahoo group for  a scissor pocket and fob.
I found a pattern for a biscornu-
I've done this pattern, or part of it three times now.  One for the scissor case, one for a needle case, and just the central design for the fob.  Now I need to have a look to see if I have the fabric to make them up.  Hopefully, it shouldn't take long, and they can be posted very quickly.

De stash page has had some more magazines added, as well as a couple of vintage sewing patterns.  In order to clear some space, the first 10 items will be removed at the end of this week, so if you're interested, please email me.
