I was looking forward to a simple installment this time round on the hardanger SAL. I started happily enough, but then spotted a problem.
All but one group of eyelets had been stitched in the wrong place. It was so obvious, I can't believe I missed it the first time.
Instead of starting to stitch, I had to undo all those tiny eyelets and then restitch them. NOW they're done properly, and I can go on to do the next border.

How frustating!
ReplyDeleteohh nooo ,glad it is right for you now Jane.xx
ReplyDeleteIt is so frustrating when that happens. The colours are very pretty and your stitching is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI hate to un-sew but it turned out so beautiful. Love this piece.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous! It reminds me of a little quilt! :0)
ReplyDeleteoh dear... but I'm glad you said you fixed it because I was looking very hard because I couldn't spot where they might be wrong...
ReplyDeleteIts just lovely as is all your detailed work...

Now that's dedication. I would have put it in the disappoint pile.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty design.
ReplyDeleteI would have given up, but am glad to see that you continued on to finish the round. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh Jane, how frustrating! But it is a beautiful work of art, so I guess it was worth persisting in getting it right.
ReplyDeleteI think this is absolutely beautiful. It must have been so frustrating for you to have to unpick and redo some of it but I know from past experience that if had left it, you would have been forever looking at it and wishing you had gone back and fixed it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the granny squares too. You are really marching on with that project.
I rather suspect that if that had been me I would have spoken to it in a most unladylike fashion and consigned it to a corner for all eternity. I'm glad you didn't because this is just so lovely.
