With one thing and another, it has been a busy week this week. When I was home, I spent one day cutting blue fabric for a quilt top, and in between, began to join the blocks. The blocks were finally joined together and are waiting to be completed into a quilt top.
I made a start yesterday, but after having to take one row apart, I decided to give it a rest and go back to it today with a fresh mind. The blocks turned the wrong way between the floor and the sewing table.
In the evenings, I have been plugging away at the cross stitch and yesterday, the final back stitch detailing went in.
Your cross stitch is a stunner! I do the same thing with the quilt blocks. I hate having to unpick it!! lol
ReplyDeleteA beautiful heart I'm looking forward to seeing them all together.
ReplyDeleteWe all unpick and no one likes it. So your in good company.
Beautiful heart! Your stitching is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe way pieces rearrange themselves blows my mind. I'm used to clothing - the two pieces line up usually one way only. Quilting is different. I'm finding the pieces line up in all sorts of ways - not necessarily in the correct order. It is like a puzzle. Happy quilting.
oh very pretty. I spend more time unpicking quilts than quilting rofl
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely work, Jane! I've missed the 'back story' on this - there is apparently more than one heart involved. This one must have taken ages. Well, it would probably take me about 3 months to do this butterflies heart :-o
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is another really beautiful heart!
ReplyDeleteI love that heart, and all hearts actually. This set will be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it we all have to do things multiple times to get it right! Just once, I'd like to finish something correctly the first time I try it!
Your butterfly heart looks great! How exciting to have just one more to go! :0)
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite things, hearts and butterflies. This is lovely, Jane. I'm looking forward to seeing it all together.
ReplyDeleteWe all have to rip out, it's part of sewing.
I think that is the best heart yet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
I'm with MadaboutCrafts. This is the best heart yet. And possibly one of the most lovely cross stitch designs I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever. This is gorgeous.
