This is the last project I have done from the Cross Stitch Crazy magazine, (which has now found a new home.)
It is a light house bookmark for D. Now when he hurriedly closes his book because I am coming up the stairs and he should be asleep, he won't have to lose his place, lol. Why is it they don't think we know?
I made the tassel from a DMC varigated thread, though I think I should have made it thinner. I got a bit carried away.

Lovely bookmark and love the tassel.
ReplyDeleteVery nice work!My daughter used to sneek a torch under the clothes to read! She wears glasses now , lol
ReplyDeleteGreat design for a boys bookmark. I like the finishing and the tassel. I'll have to keep that technique in mind.
ReplyDeleteLovely lighthouse! He'll just have to leave the tassel sticking out of the top of the book! :0)
ReplyDeleteI bet he loves his bookmark - it's just right for a boy! LOL, you reminded me of when I was a kid and like Zetor's daughter, I used a torch to read under the blankets! Mum would scold me in the morning when she came in to wake me up, and found books on the floor, and my torch with a flat battery!
ReplyDeleteThe lighthouse is perfect for a boy. I love that he sneaks (or thinks he sneaks) to read late at night. That surely demonstrates a love for reading and in my mind, that's a very special gift.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bookmark! And I love the tassel!
ReplyDeleteLovely book, ark - he should surely be reading Moby Dick to be able to use it!
ReplyDeleteYour bookmark turned out beautifully. What a pleasure to have when you read.
