TAST-Palestrina Stitch

The next TAST stitch is palestrina stitch. In appearance, it looks a bit like a knotted blanket stitch.

This one for me, took a little getting into and I covered the worst bit with the ladybird button. Halfway around, it all suddenly fell into place and I knew exactly where the needle and thread should go. I decided to use this stitch to applique the patch to the background fabric. I will make this into a fabric postcard.

I am now going to remove the tacking stitches. I can see from the photo I have forgotten to take them out!

  1. I haven't tried Palestrina yet. I had enough trouble with Portuguese stem stitch - the ladybird looks as though he meant to be there!
